Is it true that, in the winter of 1450, a pack of wolves terrorized Paris before being slaughtered before the steps of Notre Dame?

I remember reading a page elsewhere that in the winter of 1450, a pack of wolves entered Paris through a breach in the walls of the city, and killed around 40 Parisians before being driven back to Notre Dame Cathedral and slaughtered. However, I have yet to find a verified source on this particular event - has there ever been a book or article written about this? The wikipedia page has since been deleted, I can't seem to find that vital, first verified source for it, unless it's an urban legend after all.

The University of Caen published a study on the history of the interaction of wolves and humans (in French) (in English). The study (there is a database of some 3000 documented cases) doesn't include 1450, but you may want to reach out to them directly for more details.
