Hey team, need some help looking for a couple books.

I recently finished Modris Eksteins’ Rite of Spring and just started Fritzsche’s Germans into Nazis. I’d really love to read more works about the memory of World War I, and how it influenced 20th century art, politics, and other culture. I’ve also had recommended to me Winter’s Sites of Memory, but would love some more scholarly works.

A while back, I read a nice little book by Peter Gay, called Weimar Culture, which dealt with the inter-war period in Germany. Not a heavy scholarly tome, in any sense, but might whet your appetite.

I'm curious what you thought of Rites of Spring? Years ago, now, I was deeply into that book; however, I only made it through the end of Act II, before having to put it aside -- certainly not for lack of interest, simply other priorities precluded by finishing -- and I never went back to it. I've never known anyone else who had read the book, but I found the ideas inside so unique and stimulating, I'd love to hear your opinion on the work.
