Was private ownership of the means of production maintained? Were businesses free to hire whom they wanted and pay them what they wanted? Were prices set by the state, by some corporate body (e.g. some collective of consumers, workers, and businesses), or by the individual business owner? How much state oversight was there over business practice and how much of that was just residue from the Weimar and Imperial eras? How was Jewish wealth and labor appropriated? How did any of these change as the war carried on? How was the wealth of the conquered nations extracted and distributed?
Finally, how did this compare to other countries, e.g. Fascist Italy, the Soviet Union, France (prior to the war), and the United States.

I've see a book repeatedly recommended: Adam Tooze, The Wages of Destruction. /u/Prufrock451 also recommended Richard Overy, The Nazi Economic Recovery, 1932-1938.
