I just finished listening to the stuff to blow your mind podcast and the topic was: why do Heikegani crabs look so much like a Samurai mask face?
The two leading theories are (Carl Sagan): Artificial Selection or simple coincidence (Bach).
But I have yet to see anyone seriously consider that fact that perhaps the Samurai mask was inspired by the Heikegani crab itself. Does anyone know if my theory holds water?
Thanks!
