Were there Native American tribes living along the coast (Pacific or Atlantic) that specialized in ocean fishing/travel?

Similiar to Hawaii, or possible the Eskimos. Maybe food source was so abundant on land that they left the ocean alone? Canoes seem to take great precedent but have never heard much about ocean hunting or voyage

There were numerous Native American groups in the Northwest Coast area that had ocean going canoes. This post describes boats in the NW coast culture area. Boats in this region were essential for whaling, hunting of other sea mammals and fishing for pelagic (deep water) fish species like halibut. They were also used for trade and transport of goods for hundreds of miles.
