Have been checking out different books on the same and haven't found out the right one yet. All the books seem to be in the Islamic or Biblical point of view. Would be happy if I get a centrist view of the same
It's not a book but an audiobook by the Great Courses called: [Turning Points in Middle Eastern History] (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29434101-turning-points-in-middle-eastern-history) (it also comes with a pdf with the content). It talks about the middle east from the time when Islam first started up till the first world war, but I thought it was unbiased and very informative.
What era or countries are you interested in? For the modern era my go-to recommendation is always Eugene Rogan’s The Arabs: A History.
