How did Georgian Kingdom managed not be conquered by Mongols 1250-1300s

by dabderax

I was reading about Mongols and came across this 2 maps:

The extent of the Mongol Empire after the death of Möngke Khan (reigned 1251–59).

The relict states of the Mongol Empire by 1300

that doesn't show Georgia as part of a Mongol Empire, is it an technical error or did Mongols really didn't conquered that area?

They did conquer it. They first arrived in 1220 and had multiple conquests till 1243 when Georgian kingdom was officially declared part of their empire. Georgia regained independance much later in 1328
