Specifically, I'm looking for sources that that say many women didn't want to vote because of what (conservative YouTuber) Steven Crowder says in this video at the timestamp linked: https://youtu.be/Q0hPd2gMlGw?t=216
Historically, it's true that many women didn't want to vote (for family reasons, among other traditional ideas), but I can't find anything that confirms that some of them didn't want to vote partially because of the vote requiring firefighting and participating in the draft.
Can someone confirm/deny this fact? I'm writing an essay (on my time) about how voting rights came about in the US, and I want to get details about the anti-suffrage movement and suffrage movement correct. I've been looking for a while but I can't find anything that explicitly says what Steven Crowder has said in that video.
Thanks!
