In the Second World War, did Germany ever face shortages of infantry weapons and/or ammunition?

It’s very well known Germany suffered from a lack of tanks, airplanes, motorized equipment, etc., after the beginning of Barbarossa. My question is, did Germany ever face a shortage of infantry weapons and ammunition for them?

I'm on mobile now but I can present some well sourced numbers on the amount of small arms compared to the total number of men serving when I get to a PC.

To clarify, what would you see as a shortage? The German tables of organization and equipment Kriegsstärkenachweisungen are well documented.

Would a unit in 1941 using MG13s (instead of the on-paper standard MG34, its successor) be considered suffering a shortage of MG34s in your view?
