I generally understand that the post WWI German economy was a result of the Versailles Treaty, which was meant to be punishing expecially by the French, but was ignoring it "all it took" for Hitler for turning a country on starvation (and that famously printed one billion reichmark bills that were brought about in wheelbarrows for day to day purchases) in a successful, healthy economy in such a short time?
Hi, you might find this section of our FAQ useful for understanding the exact nature of the Nazi Economy.
Suffice to say that the matter was a lot more complicated than Hitler just ignoring the Treaty of Versailles. Indeed, the only real economic problem that could be solved by ignoring the Treaty, that of reparations, was solved before Hitler came into power. The Lausanne Conference effectively cancelled the payment of reparations in 1932. Additionally, the famous images that we see of people with wheelbarrows full of cash come from the hyperinflation crisis of 1923-24, not the global economic crash of 1929 onwards.
