i know different sides have made their own guns, that might have different calibers and other differences, for instance i came across this photo https://imgur.com/a/zZMnw ... could germans in WW2 just pick up an American gun, and then use german ammo, or would they also need American ammo? and was this a common practice to use the other sides weaponry against them?
