What bayonet did US Marines use during the revolutionary war?

by TheTacticalTactician

As this is the revolution, I’m not sure if there is one set one, but what was the most popular and widely used? I’m hoping to start a collection of them through all the wars. Thanks in advance gents.

The most common muskets in American service were the French Charleville Model 1763 and 1766 muskets. Additionally, some 1766 Naval muskets with brass hardware were imported for maritime use. But as you say, it was a rather chaotic situation, and I'm uncertain as to how many the US Marine Corps got of each. Each musket came with a standard bayonet.
