Trying to find out more about this Bronze Star winner who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. What do these medals and notice mean?

Medal and commendation notice here. A friend's late husband earned this medals and this notice. I'd like to find out a bit more information for her. How do I go about that?

TIA

Ah, Desobry's 20th Armored Infantry Battalion. I'd suggest a book called "Tigers of Bastogne" by Michael Collins and Martin King. It deals with Combat Command B, 10th Armored Division, and particularly the 20th AIB, at Bastogne.

The 20th held the town of Noville (on the approach to Bastogne) alone against the German assault until reinforced by the 1st Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne. The 506th guys, however, were rushed in from leave so fast, many were without weapons or ammo. Desobry's supply trucks lined the road as they marched through and handed them whatever they needed.

Attacked by the 2nd Panzer Division and heavily outnumbered, the two battalions inflicted heavy casualties on the Germans until nearly surrounded. With a vigorous counterattack from another battalion, the 20th AIB and 1-506PIR were able to retreat in good order back to the town of Foy.

Hello there! As your question is related to looking for identification/information regarding military personnel, our Guide on Military Identification may be of use to you. It provides a number of different resources, including how to request service records from a number of national agencies around the world, as well as graphical aids to assist in deciphering rank, unit, and other forms of badges or insignia. While the users here may still be able to lend you more assistance, hopefully this will provide a good place to start!

Also: What you have pictured looks like a citation from the Battle of the Bulge Association, which has a fairly extensive "research" section of their site here: http://battleofthebulge.org.
