How did Hitler manage to make Germany become a world power when the country was in a sever depression?

by HayfGabe

I always asked this question various of times to my teachers, but the answers they give are really not that accurate and not that believable.. Germany became the world's most powerful country during the second world war, and that always baffles me on how they got out that depression and became powerful. America had a depression with 33% unemployment but FDR managed to decrease that with his new government agencies, but Germany had more than 70% unemployment (at least that's what i heard). WW2 was one the main reasons why America got out of the depression... Did Germany do the same as America did? Massive productions in factory and employment because they were readying for war?..

I suggest you run a search for "Germany economy Hitler" on this sub to get some answers. Your question has been asked before many times in this sub and there are some excellent answers. Sorry I'm unable to provide more definitive links and such as I'm on mobile and not very good at sorting out that sort of thing. But a simple search would provide you with the answers you are looking for.
