I'm trying to find some books/writing from the cultural, political and/or economical perspective. I want to understand the aftermath perhaps in the same vain of the German systems post WW I/II.
they were rich anyway so they stayed rich . but slave traders lost their job i can say that as a aftermath
It's on my 'to-read' list, so I can't comment directly, but Bruce Levine's The Fall of the House of Dixie should be exactly what you're looking for.
