I finished the show Black Sails and that led me to listen to Treasure Island on audio book. As I've been listening I've found the pirates' dialog to be over the top and eye roll inducing, but I don't know if it's accurate or not. How accurate is that book in portraying the way those pirates would have spoken? And if it's not accurate, is there a good movie/show to watch to get a more accurate portrayal of how they would of spoken?
