I want to know what Africa was like before the European colonization. And when I mean before the colonization I want to know what is was like just before it, like only about 50 years before. Was there still empires? Strong empires? Were they impoverished like they are today?
Could you be a little bit more specifc? Any attempt to generalize an "Africa" would be incorrect. There are hundreds of cultures, traditions, languages that span the second largest continent on Earth. Egypt and the Cape are completely different from one another as is Madagascar and the Congo.
