Without breaking the 20-year limit rule, I wish to ask how come most countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East were (and some of them still are) full of civil wars as if there were no stable political or economic powers within those countries
I find it surprising most countries such as in Europe went through a lot of changed throughout history but did not mostly involve a lot of civil wars (though sometimes they involved international conflict) or the U.S., a country that was and still is known for its long jhistory of wars where the U.S. was involved, there was only one major civil war documented in the U.S.
But when it comes to Africa or the Middle East or even Asia (such as there were a few times where throughout history where China was often divided in different dynasties, apart from most of their histories often involve them by colonised by other empires, most of their histories often involved civil wars or wars against each other
To answer part of your question- Countries in Europe also have had civil wars. I may be able to answer you if you narrow it down more. I don’t have enough background, or enough time, to feel comfortable answering your very large question.
A large, vague answer, is that many of these countries have had war and destabilization because of colonialism as well as decolonization. European (or other) countries took over regions, caused stressed, and pulled out destabilizing and power vacuums.
One specific source- Traditions & Encounters by Jerry H. Bentley which is an intro history textbook
I have a background in West African History as well as some European Enlightenment Era
