clarification question: schizophrenic people specifically, or any disorder that includes psychosis? because the borders of schizophrenia as a mental illness have evolved over time.
The problem with this question is there was no medical provider to diagnose what were probably historical accounts of psychosis.
I'm not an expert but are you asking for the earliest accounts of schizophrenia that the medical community agrees on or something like a prophets experience that historians like to go heavy into supposition about?
