We have stories of Marco Polo going to China, there Norse going all over Europe and west.

Is there any documentation of Romans going fast afield?

NHH Sitwell’s Outside the Empire: the World the Romans Knew is a bit old now (1984) but does give a good overview of Roman trading links with India and elsewhere.
