In the context already high tensions due to a lot of other factors, I'm curious about how much of a role Princip actually played i.e. would the war have occurred anyways, with or without the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand?
Expanding a bit on OP's question - even if war was unavoidable, would the same nations be involved? Or are there nations that only got involved, or alliances that were only invoked, due to the particular way hostilities broke out?
