I know there are some pub like buildings that served food in Pompeii but is there any evidence that is older or from a different place?
As an introduction, you might like some of the articles in FAQ section "Food, Glorious Food / Restaurants" (In the app, look for that section a little more than halfway down the page.) There are several answers, including those by /u/EastHastings , /u/Caiur , [deleted], /u/intangible-tangerine , et cetera.
This is not to discourage more discussion. Further questions, data, and debate are welcome.
