I belong to an organization that recently discovered several binders of notes over 100 years old. The documents were not well stored. Some are hand written, others typed.

Is there a method to scan these documents and make them searchable?

The docs have very little use to anyone outside the organization and are not historically significant to anyone willing to pay for this.

Is this possible with a scanner and a PC?
