I’m not asking why people “dislike” Jews, as the Wikipedia entry is quite clear that there has been political, religious, and racist views of Jews for centuries, possibly resulting in some next-level propaganda. Specifically, are there are events or situations that give anti-semitism formal roots? Or was it just that people thought it was weird that random Jewish migrants never integrated?
I should mention I don’t really know much about the Jewish people, and don’t want to incite some sort of race-war type conversation. I’m more interested in events, statements, people, situations, etc that would at least slightly explain why Jewish people are hated throughout history.
Without meaning to stifle more discussion in this thread, there are some great answers in the FAQ regarding the historical prevalence of antisemitism. For instance, see /u/yodatsracist's post here on the pattern throughout European history, /u/kieslowskifan's post here specifically on post-WW1 Germany, and /u/commiespaceinvader's post here on the Nazis.
