In one famous narrative, the Indonesians at first accepted and celebrated the Japanese occupation because of the Jayabaya prophecy. Does such prophecy actually existed and how influential or known was it in the Indonesian/Javanese society at the time?

IIRC the prophecy was "There will be a time where people with small stature and yellow skin come and rule upon the land for less than a corn's lifespan". It has been a long time ago since i heard it so it might be wrong. Additionally does the prophecy actually being considered in decision-making, if it truly exists

Piggybacking the question, is the prophecy truly come from Jayabaya or is it a forgery? What is the complete version of the prophecy? Since I've seen an excerpt of the prophecy with Dutch and Chinese thrown in and I'm not sure the real Jayabaya knew anything about Dutch.

The prophecy exists and quite famous in Indonesia. It's credited to predict the coming of the Dutch too, white men will rule the land for a long time, and a prophecy about the presidents of Indonesia (Notonegoro). There are people who believe or seems to believe the prophecy even today.
