Does anyone have any British translated archives or collections relating to Meiji Japan, any responses would be greatly appreciated as i am filling out a dissertation proposal on the changing role and image of the Samurai in Meiji Japan.
If you could forward the source material when available that would be great!
What level of education is this? To be clear, are you looking for archives and collections in Britain? Or online archives/book collections of documents in English?
Yale University Library's guide Japanese Studies Primary Sources in Western Languages: 6. Meiji: 1868-1912 might be a good start.
Third year of university, I'm looking for online primary source materials translated into the English language! Thanks for the link!
