Is 20 years of 19th or 20th or 21st Century historic development worth a hundred of say, the Classical era? Maybe more?
For example if Rome rose and fell all of almost a thousand years, does the entire pattern of development reflect in just two or three hundreds of the British Empire or the United States?
Could you clarify your question please? I think you're asking something along the lines of: do cultures and societies move much more rapidly and effect massive change, and thus 'make history' more quickly than in the more distant past; ie the entire Roman empire did not accomplish as much in a thousand years relative to the UK/US in several hundred.
I dont want to answer and give you something you're not at all asking.
