Today:
Welcome to this week's instalment of /r/AskHistorians' Sunday Digest (formerly the Day of Reflection). Nobody can read all the questions and answers that are posted here, so in this thread we invite you to share anything you'd like to highlight from the last week - an interesting discussion, an informative answer, an insightful question that was overlooked, or anything else.
I answered an interesting and important question on how the Black Death was experienced in Asia. This involved engaging with the problem of why a virulent pandemic that's traditionally reckoned to have claimed tens – if not hundreds – of millions of lives in China and India seems to have left practically no trace in the historical record.
Unfortunately I had such a busy week it took me three days to go through the whole of the material, so I'm pretty sure only the OP and I have seen it so far.
/u/bigfridge224 gave a very interesting answer to my question about how an average Roman could get their hands on love potions/spells.
Been quite busy which, so have this and last week's:
How did Native Americans view the American civil war? got a response from that /u/Georgy_K_Zhukov fella', as well as /u/MajorBatarang.
/u/chamboz on "Why was Ottoman Empire so unprepared for first Balkan War?"
