I'm not sure where to post so here goes it... My Grandfather was a Major General which was the 2nd highest rank in the Saudi Arabian Royal Land Forces at the time. Anyways my dad recently sent me these photos and I'm wondering who the US officers are? The only info I was given was they're pictures of him meeting US Army officers in 1968 in America.
His position in the pictures are in the captions.
After some research I've found out the train in the background is the US army 611 locomotive. It operated out of Virginia. I found a forum post of a guy restoring it from 2012 and a Washington post article on the train as well but the trail ends there.
