Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War?

by SquidFacedGod

I read in a recent news article that the Allies during WWI sent troops to different ports to secure munitions and supplies. Particularly, the United States sent troops to Vladivostok the article pointed out. The article even contained a photo of an American soldiers grave-site that is still in Vladivostok.

I find this incredible as I've studied US History most of my life. Where can I read more about this? And can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Thanks!

Hello, I've answered an earlier question by explaining the origins and giving a brief discussion of the course of the US intervention in the Russian Civil War, here which seems to be what you are most interested in. I've also answered a question about the motivations and course of the wider Allied intervention in general here, focusing on how it started not as as anti-Bolshevik crusade, as it is often portrayed, and why it failed to change the course of the Russian Civil War, here.

Let me know if there is something else I can expand on!
