In the Illiad we read interesting ancient names which presumably might have "anatolian origin" such as: Acamas, Antenor, Dolon, Euphorbus, Lycaon, Othryoneus, Pedasus, Polyxena..
But there are also more familiar names such as, Hektor, Paris, Ida, Lydia, Agathon, Heron, etc.
Now I'm aware there were several ancient languages in that region, but were these names unique to these people who dwelled in ancient Anatolia or were they simply embracing greek culture and identity. Or is it rather that the names mentioned are Greek versions of the original versions, since we're reading the Illiad in ancient Greek? Such as "Paris" and the Hattitian "Pari-zitis" comparrison?

Do you mean in Homer's time/the setting of the Illiad or the majority of Hellenic rule over Anatolia?
