Eastern front of WW1

by coolronjones

What are the best books to read to learn about the eastern front of WW1, commonly called the "Balkan Campaign"? Specifically books that relate the events as they involve Romania and the Ottoman Turks. This has been a difficult subject to find much detailed information for online. Thanks in advance.

The standard for the Eastern Front remains Norman Stone's The Eastern Front. It's from the 1970s, but its aged very well. For the Ottoman Empire in particular, I recommend Eugene Rogan's The Fall of the Ottomans. Much of it pertains to the campaigns against the British in Iraq and Syria, but it covers the war in the Caucusus quite well.
