The votes are in!
The June winner of the 'Flair's Choice' award is newcomer /u/mydearestangelica, for their excellent response to "What prompted the Puritans to give their children such ridiculous names as If-Christ-had-not-died-for-thee-thou-hadst-been-damned?".
Equally deserving at the head of the 'User's Choice' vote is /u/Bentresh, with their answer for "I'm playing Assassins Creed, and frankly, the crocodiles are really irritating me. How did actual ancient Egyptians deal with it?"
This month's "The Dark Horse Award", which recognizes the top voted non-flaired answer, goes to /u/MistahFishyPajamas for their first post in the sub (!), answering "Have cats ever served a functional purpose to humans?".
And finally, the Excellence in Flairdom Award for June goes to /u/cdesmoulins! /u/cdesmoulins is one of our star "Most Improved" flairs, from some initial posts based off one source to today's epics ranging from early modern drama to Victorian society. They even rep the historical accuracy role on other subreddits. Congratulations, cdesmoulins!
The winners each receive a month of reddit gold in recognition of their accomplishment!
So as always, a big congratulations to the winners, and a big thanks to everyone who contributed to the subreddit in the past month! Also a reminder, if you want to nominate answers for the monthly awards, the best way to do so is to submit your favorite posts every week to the Sunday Digest!

Congrats! Great posts by everyone.
I'm honored! It's so much fun answering offbeat questions. Keep them coming! =)
