1745 - UK. After the Battle of Culloden, the Duke of Cumberland ordered Edward Cornwallis into the Scottish highlands to help in the suppression of the Jacobite rising. This campaign has been described vas very brutal by some and Cornwallis' reputation has suffered as a result. Is it deserved?
