In the opening of the Communist Manifesto, it states that translations will be made available in English, French, Flemish and Danish. Why Danish? Were there considerable communist sympathies in Denmark, despite the movement only being in its early stages?

In addition to /u/Kochevnik81 's reply (mentioned in Sunday Digest | Interesting & Overlooked Posts | May 07, 2018–May 13, 2018) pointed to by /u/silverappleyard , there was also 'In the Communist Manifesto, Marx explicitly states that the Manifesto will be published in "French, English, Flemish and Danish". Why Danish? We're there strong Communist sympathies in Denmark?' by /u/yodatsracist .

This is not to discourage discussion. More questions, data, and debate are welcome.
