"New" reddit is still very much in Beta, despite whatever the site admins are doing by already pushing it on users. It does not have nearly the same functionality that "old" reddit does, and none of the mods of the sub, to my knowledge, have switched over in their day to day use.

This impacts the Weekly Theme in multiple ways. First is the lack of a top announcement bar, which is what we currently use to advertise the Weekly Theme, and would, ideally, like to continue to do.

The second is the changes to how flair sorting happens - something that they have removed from old reddit as well for that matter - which doesn't allow to sort both by Flair text and Flair type, a feature that used to be pretty damn useful and is now gone in both.

Anyways though, the main point is that the redesign is still very much a work in progress and we have neither the time nor inclination to constantly work on keeping it up to date at this point. We have tried to style the 'new' AH page into a usable and aesthetically palatable page as we realize many people will be accessing the site that way, but we are only actively supporting 'old' reddit at this time, and will continue to do so at least until 'new' reddit is a real, functional site, which we do not consider it to be at this point.
