Did the tradition of hanging pig legs in Spain originate during the Spanish Inquisition by Jews and Muslims to make it seem like they'd converted to Catholicism?

This is the source I saw for the claim. Is there any evidence that this is a practice started by Conversos and Moriscos in Spain? It seems likely to me it was done as advertising, but I don't want to dismiss it out of hand.
