Hi everyone, I am an undergrad student majoring in Ancient Greek/roman history, and I am looking for a good book on the Greek myths... Much of my studies have been on other issues and I'm looking for a good text that contains the myths themselves for reference etc. Apologies for my English
Bullfinch's Mythology is a good general book that contains the myths themselves. It's an easy read, but it's extremely informative about the intertwining myths.
Roberto Calasso's The Marriage of Cadmus and Harmony. It's not academic (though it is EXTREMELY erudite) and more poetic re-interpretations, but it will really knock your socks off. NOT for the casual reader.
