Why did ancient norse peoples foretell of their doomsday and reference it so often in their stories? Was there a cultural reason? When did they believe it would occur?
I assume that this would be really hard to actually answer, what we know about ragnorok was written down after scandanavia converted to christianity and its hard to tell which parts of it were influenced by christianity and didn't exist in the original version
