Were the Romani Gypsies really originally from India? If so why have they become very much non indian and more of a Irish culture? Or is there different types that branched off in history?
Gentics say that the Roma were from what is now India. They don't have an irish culture (well Roma living in Ireland may have an irish culture). You are probably getting them confused with Irish Travellers.
