I've been searching but cannot find any highly recommended books that purely revolve around the American soldiers and the battles they fought in WWII. Any help would be much appreciated!
Our booklist is a great place to start, and I'd draw particular attention to the works of Rick Atkinson who wrote an excellent trilogy on the US Army in Africa and Europe.
