I’m interested in writing a story about an expedition that takes place in 1967. I’m hoping someone here might be able to shed any insight on the technological advancements made in the field as well as the type of people that the job attracted. What were their credentials, interests, or backgrounds? Who benefitted from these expeditions? Were they purely academic by this period or were there still “tomb raiders” operating around the world? What was the public perception of archeology?
Anything you can share would be greatly appreciated.
