It was in both Switzerland and Germany’s interest for Switzerland not to be involved. The Nazi’s accepted this because Switzerland has a tradition of neutrality that goes back long before the Second World War, plus it was an incredibly hard country to invade. Germany’s main access to Italy was via Switzerland so I guess Switzerland did help Germany in that respect.
