The Soviet Union had agreed to declare war against Japan in the Tehran and Yalta conferences. Did Japan know about this?

No. Up to the Soviet declaration of war the Japanese held out hope that the USSR would mediate a peace deal. Things fell apart quickly when that happened. This is discussed extensively in a Japanese book about the decision to surrender called Japan's Longest Day. That book also raises a lot of doubt about the significance of the atomic bombings to Japanese decision-makers.
