If you mean the 1789-1799 Revolution, it won't have any impact on Algiers since it wasn't yet a colony of France. The French conquest of Algiers began in 1830.
Before 1830 Algiers was ruled by a Dey who was nominally a regent of the Ottoman Sultan. Algiers, like it's neighbors on the Barbary Coast, was engaged in collecting tribute from sea traffic in the Mediterranean, or raiding ships of those countries that didn't pay up (hence the Barbary Pirates). The United States forgot a brief and off-forgotten war against Algiers in 1815 in its attempt to end attacks on its merchant shipping (the war with Tripoli some ten years earlier gets much more attention).
