The period of history that can be termed "pre-Islamic Arabia" is very long. I will provide examples of the period immediately precedes the Islamic age.

Common among the Arab tribes was a form of a lunar calendar. This however wasn't the only calendar used. In Syria, we have examples of dating to the era of the Roman province of Arabia, in Yemen it was common to date according to the Himyarite era.
