My mother has some poems that were written by a WWII combat veteran during the war. He would write these poems after battles in the Pacific Theater. Who should she contact to get these pieces of history into a museum or some form of record?

These sounds like some fantastic pieces and your mother is certainly doing the right thing in trying to get them preserved. Since we're dealing with highly original WWII documents, presumably American, I would recommend getting in touch with the National WWII Museum. They have a very accessible website and this particular page should guide you through the whole process of getting in touch with the collection curators in regards to the poems.

Perfect, thank you very much. The man that wrote these poems was my fathers ammo carrier. My dad was an anti-tank gunner operating a bazooka, among other lethal skills. I will also look into giving some of my dads things to this museum.
