What is a good book on the history of Kuomintang China?

by original_dick_kickem

I've been looking for a book, at least 200 pages in size, covering China from the 1911 revolution to the end of the Chinese civil war. Including info about the politics, wars, and warlord cliques as well. As I am a high school student, a book I can get on Google Play Books or Amazon easily would be best. Thanks!

Would highly recommend Diana Lary's China's Republic or Peter Zarrow's China in War and Revolution, 1895–1949. Both would be a good introduction to this period.

Would also recommend Frank Dikotter's The Age of Openness: China before Mao, but Dikotter is more known as a post-1949 China scholar and he paints perhaps too rosy a picture of Republican China, so do read it with this in mind.
