I recently found out I have some regal Scottish heritage. How would I go about learning more/proving it and figuring out where they ruled?

It's recently come up that my family is related to Robert the Bruce, King of Scots from 1306-1329. I'm hoping to do some travel sooner than later including seeing where it was he ruled and maybe connecting with distant^10 relatives. I guess how would I figure out where his rule was, where was his throne? Did he have one? This is interesting as hell to me.

I'm not sure whether or not you are being facetious so I will just answer one part of your question. If you are interested in your Scottish heritage then the National Records of Scotland (and the Court of the Lord Lyon) provides a dedicated website: ScotlandsPeople. See also this Visit Scotland article on how to research your Scottish ancestry. The Scottish Genealogy Society's website is full of resources. If you were to hire a professional genealogist, then the website of the Association of Scottish Genealogists and Researchers in Archives is probably a good place to start.
