Serious question, it seems like a date for the apocalypse to begin if anything is. I know that most places on the Earth back then didn't use the same calendar (nor were Christian) but I reckon Christianity and the modern calendar were widespread enough that surely there must've been folk who thought they had 1 year left on Earth when 665 began.
